Biography
Gordon is a graduate of the University of Rhodesia and specialised as an Anatomical Pathologist at Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists and attained the Australian Medical Council Certificate in 1987. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Gordon was the Chief Executive Officer of Clinipath Pathology from January 2003 until January 2018 - when he elected to return to diagnostic dermatopathology. He is committed to ensuring the delivery of a consistent, accurate, reliable and excellent diagnostic pathology service for patients and referring doctors. Gordon is passionate about quality and education, starting the Clinipath Pathology educational newsletter and conference program for referrers. He has been an invited speaker at various skin conferences for general practice.
Gordon now practices full time as an Anatomical Pathologist, with a special interest in dermatopathology. He is a longstanding member of the Australasian Dermatopathology Society and regularly attends both national and international dermatopathology conferences.
As a member of the West Australian Kirkbride Melanoma Advisory Service, Gordon reviews the pathology of complex melanocytic lesions, advanced and metastatic melanoma, and participates in the multidisciplinary panel of specialists who see these patients.
