Biography

Dr Lloyd D’Orsogna graduated from Medical School at the University of Western Australia in 1999 (MBBS), and subsequently completed training in Clinical Immunology (FRACP) and Immunopathology (FRCPA). He is also an accredited laboratory director with the American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI).

Lloyd has developed a keen research interest which complements his clinical skills. He completed PhD studies (2010) in Leiden, the Netherlands, with his research focusing on Immune responses against transplanted tissue, and the genetics of Immune system disorders.

He is also a clinical academic with the School of Medicine, UWA, based at Fiona Stanley Hospital and PathWest. Lloyd remains actively involved with research having published over 50 papers in peer reviewed journals, and continues to supervise masters and PhD students. His research has received many awards including the prestigious Julia Bodmer award from the European Federation for Immunogenetics.

Dr D’Orsogna has extensive experience in clinical and pathological management of Immunological conditions including Autoimmune disease, Immunodeficiency and Allergy.

Lloyd’s clinical private practice is based at the WA Specialist Clinic in Osborne Park where he sees patients on Saturday mornings.
