Biography
Dr Smathi Chong graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2001 and trained in Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases in Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne. He has also completed a Diploma of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene in Liverpool (UK).
Dr Chong started working with Clinipath in 2013 and is happy to discuss the investigation and treatment of a broad range of community and hospital acquired infections. These include serology, multi-resistant bacterial infections, tropical & travel medicine and parasitology.
He also does volunteer teaching at a hospital in West Timor, Indonesia.
