Dr Jason Lau

Dr Jason Lau graduated from UWA and completed his Pathology training at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in 2012. He initially worked for Perth Pathology before joining Clinipath in 2019. 

Dr Lau is a gastrointestinal pathologist, with additional subspecialty expertise in endolumenal GI pathology gained under the tutelage of Prof. Priyanthi Kumarasinghe. He is also a member of the Australasian Society of Gastrointestinal Pathologists. 

Dr Lau was a visiting fellow in Oral and Dermatopathology at the University of California San Francisco in 2017, and in 2019 he attained International Board Certification in Dermatopathology under the auspices of the International Committee for Dermatopathology (ICDP/UEMS). 

He was trained in Oral Pathology by Prof. Norman Firth, and is now involved in teaching pathology to students in the Masters of Clinical Dentistry program at UWA.    

He was a visiting fellow in Uropathology at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore in 2018 and is a member of the International Society of Urologic Pathology.

Dr Lau's areas of expertise include GI Pathology, Oral Pathology, Dermatopathology and Uropathology, with research publications in the latter.
